Checking Microsoft 365 Service Health

Clients often ask us how they can monitor the health of the Microsoft 365 (née Office 365) service.

The first place you should check is in the Service Health dashboard in your tenant. You need to be a Global Admin to see this dashboard, so hopefully your admins are communicative and let the general population know if there is some sort of significant outage.

In the rare cases where there is a widespread outage that prevents you from getting to your Service Health dashboards, you should check the Microsoft 365 Service health status page.

You can also follow the @MSFT365Status Twitter account for updates directly from Microsoft.

Are there other tools you use to monitor things? Let me know in the comments.
