I’ve been trying out new (for me) Microsoft widgets on my laptop. In doing so, I’ve run across a few things that work well:
- Windows Live Toolbar – I’ve been a Google toolbar guy for years. One of the main things I like about it is the Autofill capability. Live Toolbar now has that with the Form Fill add on button. There are lots of other useful buttons that you can add, too.
- Desktop Search – Replaces both my Google Desktop and the old Windows Search, and seems to work much better.
- Windows Live OneCare – I had McAfee for free through Comcast, but I’m trying OneCare for the 90 day free trial. Seems to work well, but no real data yet.
